Packers in trade market for running back, per report

Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst continues to look for ways to improve the roster, even less than two weeks away from the start of the regular season.

And his attention has turned to running back. On Saturday, ESPN’s Rob Demovsky reported that the Packers had released running back Darrin Hall. Interestingly, Demovsky also noted that Gutekunst has been “looking for another back in the trade market”.

The Packers have an excellent number one running back in Aaron Jones, who led the league in yards per carry last season. But with an emphasis placed on running backs being able to contribute as receivers in Matt LaFleur’s offense, could Gutekunst look to bring in a receiving back?
