This afternoon, the Packers announced that they have activated wide receiver Jayden Reed off of injured reserve and claimed DL Quinton Bohanna off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks.
Needing to make room on the 53 man roster, the team also announced the release of Malik Heath.
Reed returns after suffering a broken collarbone (a fractured clavicle) during a Week 2 game against the Washington Commanders. Reed was already managing a Jones fracture in his left foot — an injury that dated back to training camp.
Reed's return should stress defenses horizontally and vertically. The veteran receiver changes coverage shells before the snap simply by being on the field, and the Packers have lacked that pre-snap gravitational pull in his absence.
