Ever since the Packers traded Davante Adams to the Raiders after the 2021 season, the team has lacked a clear cut, number one receiver. Over the last three plus seasons, head coach Matt LaFleur has gone with a receiver by committee approach. The Packers have had many talented receivers, but nobody who has stood out enough to be the clear-cut number one guy. Whoever got open, that’s who got the ball.
But now, as we head into the final five games of the 2025 NFL regular season, one Packers wideout seems ready to assume the role of number one receiver, even if he won’t be as dominant a number one wideout as Adams was in his final years with the team.
