If you thought linebacker De’Vondre Campbell might not make the Green Bay Packers’ 53-man roster, think again. In some cases, late free agent signings are a toss-up when it comes to whether they will make the final cut. The Green Bay’s latest acquisition reportedly agreed to a one-year deal worth $2 million, which all but assures he will make the team in August. Campbell’s deal also includes a $1 million signing bonus and four voidable years to help alleviate stress towards the salary cap.
According to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Campbell is eligible for up to $500,000 in playing-time incentives.
