Cheese Curds, 11/25: It’s long past time for LeRoy Butler to get his gold jacket

Charles Woodson will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

There’s no question about that. Woodson ranks 5th in NFL history in interceptions, 19th in forced fumbles, made nine Pro Bowl rosters and three All-Pro first teams, and earned both the Defensive Rookie of the Year award (in 1998) and Defensive Player of the Year award (in 2009). And, of course, he got a Super Bowl ring with the Green Bay Packers in 2010.

LeRoy Butler’s case is different. He’s not a no-brainer pick — he has been a semifinalist for induction in each of the past four years after failing to hit that mark once before 2018.
