When the Golden State Warriors were routed in their season opener by the Los Angeles Clippers in October 2019 (remember normal times?), Clippers guard Patrick Beverley reportedly made an extremely bold prediction to Stephen Curry.
"You had the last five years," Beverley was reported to have told Curry during the 141-122 drubbing. "The next five years are mine."
The early returns on Beverley's prediction are not promising.
Somehow, someway, the Denver Nuggets completed their second 3-1 comeback of the 2020 postseason when they defeated the Clippers in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals Wednesday night.
