Is it time for D’Angelo Russell’s first Warriors Wonder award?

The Golden State Warriors were unable to get their first regular season win at the Chase Center last night, but at least they fought with some gumption against those tricky San Antonio Spurs.

There were even a few players that showed they can grow into the big shoes vacated by the injured Splash Bros.

Russell scored 30 points, which believe it or not, is the highest scoring game any Warrior has had this season. He shot a tough 9-for-24 from the field, with more than a few coming of the heavily contested variety, but he was instrumental in carrying Golden State’s offense in key spurts.
