NEW ORLEANS – As the pain became more and more burdensome in his strained left knee, Warriors forward Draymond Green started having dark thoughts.
“I honestly thought it was my meniscus,” Green said.
Instead, MRI results turned out negative and revealed no new structural damage in his left knee. Green then healed enough for the Warriors (0-1) to put him back in the starting lineup for Friday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans (0-1) at Smoothie King Center.
“It was a big relief,” Green said.
Green’s pessimism during Tuesday night’s loss to Houston quickly morphed into optimism.
