NFL analyst and former New England Patriots executive Michael Lombardi predicted on his podcast Wednesday that Patriots running back Sony Michel will remain on the physically unable to perform list through the summer.
Michel underwent foot surgery this offseason and he has already dealt with knee and ankle injuries in his career.
“I think Sony Michel is probably destined for PUP/reserve,” said Lombardi. “I think he’ll probably miss the first half of the season. I don’t think there’s any chance they’re going to rush him back. With his ankle, I think that train is gonna take a little bit of time to get out of the station.
