This Saturday, ESPN’s College GameDay televises from Athens, Georgia for the first time since perpetual SEC contender Louisiana State, then ranked #7, visited the #9 Georgia Bulldogs in September of 2013.
The weather that day was sunny and unseasonably mild following a much-appreciated cold front that made it a lot more comfortable to walk uphill to class on Lumpkin Street. As I sit outside my east Athens home this very moment, I enjoy a breeze similar to those that blew in the west end zone where I stood during the Dawgs’ shootout victory over LSU six years ago.
