FSU soccer falls to Stanford

Top ranked Stanford (21-1) defeated fourth seeded Florida State (13-7-1) in the NCAA Tournament 1-0 in Palo Alto.

This was always going to be a tough game for the talented but young Seminoles. Stanford is undefeated at home this year and have outscored their opponents in Palo Alto by an incredible 56-1 score.

The Cardinal had the lion’s share of the possession in this game. Stanford simply dominated FSU in the midfield. The Noles couldn’t get the ball to strikers Dallas Dorosy or Deyna Castellanos. When they were able to get the ball to those strikers it wasn’t in any position for them to challenge the goal.
