Something had to change with the Panthers offense heading into the 2017-18 campaign and changed it has. McCann has solidified a dangerous third line alongside Connor Brickley and Nick Bjugstad.
Brickley has been given a new lease on his hockey life thanks to Bob Boughner and the new coaching staff, while Bjugstad had a strong off-season which also included a switch to McCann’s wing.
The 21-year-old McCann holding down the third-line center role is a huge reason why his linemates are playing at the level they are.
