Nembhard announces transfer to Gonzaga

Former Florida point guard Andrew Nembhard announced his decision Tuesday to transfer to Gonzaga.

The 6-foot-5 sophomore from Canada spent his first two seasons with UF, starting all 67 games to begin his career. He decided in May to enter the transfer portal after averaging 11.2 points, 5.6 assists and 3.0 rebounds en route to a COVID-19-shortened 19-12 season.

While he eventually settled on spending his final two years of eligibility at Gonzaga, Nembhard also considered Duke, Stanford, Georgetown, Memphis and USC as potential landing spots.

He will have to sit out the 2020-21 season before suiting up for the Bulldogs.
