In perhaps his last start as a Gator, the National Player of the Year struggled late Sunday during No. 1 Florida’s 6-3 loss to Texas Tech in the College World Series. The Gators (47-20) face elimination Tuesday against Texas at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha.

The Red Raiders (45-18) took a 3-1 lead with a sudden rally in the fifth. With two outs and none on, Cody Farhat singled and then Braxton Fulford reached on an error from shortstop Deacon Liput. Gabe Holt then bounced a single off the glove of JJ Schwarz at first base, scoring both runners.
