With the summer break about to end, we decided to go back to the basics and check against where teams were. This has led to some adjustments from our last ranking, although it is not a direct reflection of the matrix (see below) because the numbers do not account for recent form and who teams have played, both are things that could really change how a team is viewed. On the other hand, the metrics we use (points per game to wash out any uneven schedules and the Pace to wash out home/away discrepancies) do give us some insights that proved useful.
