Tom Davies said he was “proud” of his contribution to Everton’s stirring comeback victory over Bournemouth - and hopes his fruitful partnership with two-goal star Oumar Niasse continues to prosper.

Boss Ronald Koeman responded to his team falling behind to Joshua King’s 49th-minute goal for the Cherries by swiftly summoning Davies and striker Niasse from the bench.

The duo thrillingly combined for Everton’s leveller, with Davies sending a precise through ball for Niasse to drill a finish into the roof of the Gwladys Street net.

Davies and Niasse sowed the roots of their understanding when playing a number of games together for the Blues’ Under-23 team.
