After getting Northwestern to its first NCAA tournament in 2017, former Duke star and assistant coach Chris Collins has had some rough luck in Evanston.
His record has declined for three straight seasons. Part of it is due to injuries but the bottom line, as they say, is the bottom line.
Well significant help is on the way: Collins won a commitment from 6-5 Casey Simmons, regarded as the second-best commitment in program history.
By himself he won't turn things around but Collins is also after Duke target Patrick Baldwin, who has family ties to Northwestern.
