BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Duke men's and women's cross country teams both took second place in their respective races at the season-opening Virginia Tech Invitational Friday night in Blacksburg, Va.
NC State took the top spot in the women's 6k race with 15 points, followed by Duke with 48 and Virginia Tech with 79. In the men's 8k, the Wolfpack came out on top with 19 points, while the Blue Devils (51) finished second and the Hokies (58) claimed third.
Leading the way for the Duke women was senior Michaela Reinhart, whose time of 21:03.
