LEXINGTON, Ky. – Announced by United States Marine Corps (USMC) and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), the Duke volleyball team garnered the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 16th time in program history.
The Blue Devils are one of 227 of Division I schools to earn the award and one of 11 ACC schools to earn the award for the 2019-20 season.
A record total 1,313 teams – all levels of volleyball – earned the AVCA Team Academic Award, which again sets an all-time high. The award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.
