After a slow start, the Duke Blue Devils turned up the heat and defeated Ryerson University on Wednesday night, but it came at a cost.
The Blue Devils lost Alex O’Connell to an orbital floor fracture after he got hit in the face early in the first quarter on Wednesday he will not play in the remaining two games in Canada.
Duke is already without Cam Reddish and Tre Jones who are dealing minor injuries and are being held out as precautions since it is only mid-August.
