Tim Tebow invited to Mets spring training for second straight year

Tim Tebow's first professional baseball season was short on production, heavy on hype and an overwhelming success at the minor league box office.

It appears the New York Mets are ready to do it all over again.

On Friday, it was announced Tebow was one of nine non-roster invitees to spring training.

So the former Heisman Trophy winner will be practicing with the major league club, and is sure to get some at-bats during spring training. Last year, Tebow went 4 for 27 in games before heading off to Class A Columbia.
