DETROIT -- Alex Rodriguez has gotten solid reviews for his work as an in-game analyst, but he's not going to take Ken Rosenthal's job as the maestro of MLB trade rumors any time soon.
A-Rod credulously floated an idea that seems fairly far-fetched: The Tigers should send Miguel Cabrera to the Boston Red Sox in a "blockbuster" deal that would reunited him with old general manager Dave Dombrowski.
There are about 200 million things wrong with that idea.
Cabrera, 34, is battling injuries and ailments and is in the midst of what might be the worst season of his career.
