Detroit Tigers' Joe Jimenez drops 15 pounds, knowing he'll bear load of being closer

Detroit Tigers closer Joe Jimenez had a goal when the COVID-19 pandemic nixed spring training and left him in Lakeland, Florida, without consistent access to the weight room: Eat as healthy as possible.

He stuck to his mantra while doing as much physical activity as his garage would allow.

As a result, he shaved off 15 pounds — from 265 to 250 — and feels in tip-top shape as the Tigers continue training camp before the season begins July 24 on the road against the Cincinnati Reds.
