The Detroit Tigers have grown used to losing this season, especially against the Cleveland Indians. Tonight, they lost their seventeenth consecutive game to the club. The season series goes to the Indians 18-1, with Detroit’s only win happening back in April.
Tonight’s game showcased 2019 Detroit at their finest. They loaded the bases in the top of the first inning against Mike Clevinger but couldn’t score a single run. In the bottom half of the inning, Daniel Norris gave up a double and a sacrifice fly to let in a run. Drew VerHagen relieved Norris in the third and gave up an additional six runs over two innings.
