Detroit Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire wrote a lineup that might be a preview of what we will see on Opening Day in Cleveland on March 26. That lineup: RF Cameron Maybin; SS Niko Goodrum; DH Miguel Cabrera; 1B C.J. Cron; 2B Jonathan Schoop; 3B Jeimer Candelario; LF Christin Stewart; C Austin Romine and CF JaCoby Jones. The starters built a 5-2 lead but the young bullpen blew it. Then, the prospects fought back and forced the tie.
Starting pitcher Jordan Zimmermann got into trouble with three walks but he balanced it out with three strikeouts in two scoreless innings.
