Jeff Blashill’s message to players: Don’t go down without a fight. They certainly lived up to that. A number of quotes from Blash in here about bringing up the emotion level but also trying to avoid taking dumb penalties.
Fine line to be sure. “It was physical and lots of jawing and lots of stuff behind the play and a lot of emotion,” Blashill said. “I’m 100 percent good with that. We could have had ourselves a line brawl and it would have been even better.
“I’m just kidding.”
