Pistons vs. Hornets final score: Pistons lack big play punch late, fall 105-102

The Detroit Pistons couldn’t deny the Charlotte Hornets’ quest to return to .500, coming up short on the road 105-102. The Pistons have now lost 11 straight against the Hornets.

The first 12 minutes was a tough watch, as the advantage was Charlotte’s, 30-22. It would have been total bloodshed if it wasn’t for Jerami Grant’s 5-of-10 shooting effort, along with Isaiah Stewart coming off the bench bringing rebounding and energy for a boost toward the end of the quarter. Otherwise, Detroit shot 2-of-13 from downtown. Charlotte’s wasn’t much better at 2-of-8, but they penetrated and spread the ball around for easier looks in the paint.
