August and September are the dog days of the NBA offseason, a time when most diehards are discussing the minutiae of their favorite team, making bold predictions or talking about the moves they hope to see. This is the time when the unfounded rumors are flying fast, when speculation takes over for common sense and a lot of silly things get suggested.
This year hasn’t been any different, even for the Detroit Pistons, a team with no cap space, few assets and a low probability of making a splashy move. Nevertheless, the Pistons’ faithful are still arguing about the moves the team should make.
