Reports: Matthew Stafford has ‘6-week injury,’ could be back sooner

Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia has not given any indication as to when the team will get the services of quarterback Matthew Stafford back again after the veteran passer suffered a back injury against the Chicago Bears. Choosing to keep his medical information private, Patricia has simply called his situation both day-to-day and week-to-week.

However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter provided a little more clarity on Sunday morning.

“Doctors recently told Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford that the fractured bones in his back are a six-week injury,” Schefter reported.
