Ranking Detroit Lions' biggest needs by position before 2020 NFL draft

Of the seven potential starters the Detroit Lions have acquired so far this offseason, six are on the defensive side of the ball.

"To say that the defense was a priority is correct," general manager Bob Quinn said in his pre-draft video conference last week. "And we feel like we’ve upgraded at, really, each position group."

The Lions added potential starters at defensive tackle (Danny Shelton, Nick Williams), linebacker (Jamie Collins), cornerback (Desmond Trufant and Darryl Roberts) and safety (Duron Harmon) through either free agency or trade, but still have more work to do in the 2020 NFL draft.
