Alrighty this is gonna be a brutal edition of notes.
Peter King in his Football Morning in America column said Monday that it’s Week 2 and Matt Patricia’s time in Detroit appears to be coming to a close.
“It’s Sept. 21, and Matt Patricia looks done already,” he writes bluntly.
King points to the 11 losses in a row and the persistent trouble holding onto leads to finish out games, calling Detroit “the worst finishers since 2019 Edwin Diaz.”
Looking ahead, the schedule doesn’t look like it’ll let up. The Lions face the 2-0 Arizona Cardinals and 1-0 New Orleans Saints (playing Monday night).
