Friday, the Detroit Lions announced that they’ve agreed to terms with several free agents that had already been widely reported. However, they did manage to slip in a bit of news, too. The team announced Friday evening that they have agreed to terms to re-sign Miles Killebrew.
Killebrew, the team’s fourth-round pick in 2016, has mostly been a special teams contributor in his career, although there was early hope that he’d grow into a role at safety.
Now under head coach Matt Patricia, Killebrew has been making a slow transformation into a linebacker, though most of his contributions still come on special teams—racking over 300 snaps on teams in both 2018 and 2019.
