Detroit Lions' Teez Tabor experiment failed. Here's what we learned

When the Detroit Lions took Teez Tabor in the second round of the 2017 draft, general manager Bob Quinn downplayed questions about Tabor's speed by saying he watched more tape on the Florida cornerback "than any prospect that I could ever remember watching."

With that claim, Quinn drove home two points: One, that he believed in Tabor's instincts and ability over his sheer athleticism, and, two, that the pick was a huge gamble, unlike most of the play-it-safe picks Quinn has made at the top of his drafts.
