Detroit Lions' 2020 preseason schedule sliced in half, won't face Patriots

The Detroit Lions' 2020 preseason schedule has been cut in half due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The NFL has canceled Week 1 and Week 4 of the exhibition season, according to multiple reports Wednesday. The change was expected.

That means the Lions will start their preseason schedule Aug. 20 at Ford Field against the New York Jets, and visit the Miami Dolphins on Aug. 27. The Lions' will miss out on playing the other two AFC East foes (New England and Buffalo).
