The Denver Nuggets are as tempting a trade partner as almost any team in the league.
As young as they are, and as promising as their future is, it’s natural that the Nuggets get bandied about as a popular trade destination. They’re loaded with assets (reasonable contracts, intriguing prospects, this year’s No. 22 draft pick) and are staring at a Western Conference that’s bound to get more treacherous once Golden State gets healthy.
Standing pat this offseason, therefore, might leave the Nuggets looking up in the standings.
Despite their encouraging Western Conference Finals run, it’s not inconceivable that both Los Angeles teams and the Warriors enter next season in better position to chase a title than the Nuggets.
