The Nuggets are 4-2, but their offense has been underwhelming. Here’s the problem.

Denver’s offense has been unrecognizable compared to last year’s iteration through the first six games.

An outfit that was in the NBA’s top-10 last season ranks 19th overall this season, with their passing and shooting numbers among the league’s lowest. Some of that falls on center Nikola Jokic, whose productive yet inconsistent start to the season has drawn plenty of attention.

But coming off Saturday’s comeback win in Orlando and heading into a week where they’ll face teams with a combined record of 10-2 in Miami and Philadelphia, Nuggets coach Michael Malone distilled the problems from an analytics perspective.
