INDIANAPOLIS — The Denver Nuggets blew a 19-point first-half lead when the Pacers got hot from beyond the 3-point arc in the third quarter.
Then they surrendered an 8-point advantage in the final 2:50 of regulation.
That was ultimately too much for the Nuggets to overcome, as they fell 126-116 in overtime here Sunday at Bankers Life FieldHouse. The loss drops Denver to 4-10 on the road and to 1-3 on this six-game trip that continues in Detroit on Tuesday and Boston on Wednesday.
The Pacers outscored the Nuggets 12-2 in extra time. But they began their final charge after a 3-pointer by Gary Harris put Denver up 114-106 with 2:54 left in regulation.
