Denver Nuggets briefs: Malik Beasley carving out rotation minutes

INDIANAPOLIS — Minutes after the Denver Nuggets’ win in Orlando on Friday night, Malik Beasley put both feet in an ice chest at his locker and strapped bags of ice to his thighs, knees and shins.

Beasley needed the extra recovery time after posting season-highs in minutes (29) and points (12) and tying a season-high with three assists. He was Denver’s first player off the bench against the Magic, the latest example of how he has carved out greater rotation minutes as the short-handed Nuggets have searched for answers in road games.

“Just staying confident and staying ready is my main thing,” Beasley said.
