Two days of practice was enough for Broncos coach Vic Fangio to be pleased with rookie quarterback Drew Lock.
No, Lock isn’t going to start or even be the backup Sunday at Minnesota, but a hat-tip from Fangio should be considered a good sign for Lock, who returned to practice Tuesday for the first time since sustaining a right thumb injury Aug. 19.
“I think the time off in some ways, although you never want it, helped him,” Fangio said on Thursday. “I think he learned a lot whereas, when he was going through it in the spring and training camp before he got hurt, it was piling up on him I think.
