From the day he bought the Denver Broncos in 1984 until he had to walk away from the franchise he loved due to Alzheimer’s, it was always about the Broncos. It was always about others.
Never was that more evident than on the grandest stage. With the world watching, Mr. B could have made it about him. One has to wonder how many would have done so in that same situation. After all, it was his crowning achievement. His franchise’s first Super Bowl victory.
Instead, he made it about someone else with the words that came to define a man.
