Broncos play-caller Rich Scangarello on Colts game: “I thought we were aggressive”

If Broncos offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello was offended by quarterback Joe Flacco’s analysis after Sunday’s game against Indianapolis, he didn’t show it Thursday.

Upset with the lack of aggressiveness in the play calling, Flacco said, “It just feels like we’re kind of afraid to lose a game.”

The Broncos called a run play on third-and-5 and leading 13-12 when a conversion would have sealed the game. The play gained no yards, the Broncos punted and Indianapolis won 15-13 on a field goal with 22 seconds remaining.

“When I see Joe’s comments, I just saw a quarterback (whose team) had lost a game and he was very frustrated with how it went,” Scangarello said.
