Doncic has monster game as Mavs powered their way to a 120-113 victory over Suns

PHOENIX – Luka Doncic reminded the Phoenix Suns why they should have taken him first overall in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Doncic scored a career-high tying 42 points, grabbed nine rebounds and handed out 11 assists in registering his eighth triple-double of the season and led the Dallas Mavericks to a 120-113 victory over the Phoenix Suns at Talking Stick Resort Arena. In opening this three-game road trip on the right foot, the Mavs improved to 12-6 headed into Sunday afternoon’s game at the Los Angles Lakers.

Also for the Mavs, Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 26 points and Seth Curry collected 11 points.
