The Dallas Mavericks set the goal of reaching the playoffs before this season began. They worked together and were on the verge of achieving it. The Mavs did everything right. They won 40 of their 67 games thanks in large part to the breakout season from Luka Doncic. The 21-year-old became a top ten player in the league.
Doncic should be in the running for MVP and first-team All-NBA for the next decade-plus. It would not be surprising to see him become the league’s undisputed best player at some point. He has a unique ability to see the floor and always create open shots.
