In his second season with the Mavericks Harrison Barnes has earned a label.
He's a high-quality player who works as hard as anybody and gets the most out of his ample skills.
But he's not a No. 1.
And we all know what that perception means.
It's a knock, pure and simple, on a guy who still is young and growing as a player and who clearly is better so far this season than he was last season.
A fair label? Maybe. But it also doesn't take into account the way Barnes has handled himself so far this season.
