NFL agent: Not getting a long-term deal done with Dak Prescott would be a “big miss” for the Cowboys

The Wednesday franchise tag deadline is just about here. Dak Prescott is the biggest name to watch for players facing the tag deadline. The Cowboys franchise quarterback has crushed any pre-draft notions that contributed to his fall to the fourth-round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Prescott has emerged as a top-10 quarterback and is only trending upwards after a stellar individual 2019 season.

Yet, Prescott and the Cowboys have yet to come to terms on a deal. The 26-year-old signal-caller and his team have reportedly asked for a four-year deal so that Prescott can hit free agency again while still in his prime, while Dallas is reportedly seeking to sign their quarterback to a longer-term extension.
