'I'm desparate, as are Palace fans, for him to stay', says Roy Hodgson on Wilfried Zaha rumours

Roy Hodgson concedes that he is “desperate” to see Wilfried Zaha remain at Crystal Palace beyond the summer transfer window.

The Ivory Coast international has been instrumental in helping the Eagles beat the drop this season and his impressive performances have caught the attention of several top Premier League clubs.

Manchester City are rumoured to be keeping close tabs on his situation at Selhurst Park, while Tottenham are also mooted to be interested.

Former Eagles chairman Simon Jordan told talkSPORT he believes Zaha is worth £70million.

However, while Hodgson admits he is “desperate” to see Zaha stay put, the former England boss has no concerns that the winger will look to leave once the summer window opens.
