Growing up near Silicon Valley, Crew SC striker Adam Jahn is a proud soccer-playing techie.
“Apple till I die,” said the California native, pointing to his digital watch on Friday after training.
It’s not enough for Jahn to spend an hour a day sweating in the central Ohio humidity. He wants to know how much ground he covered, whether his first step has gotten quicker and what his heart rate measured in practice.
Acquired last month from the San Jose Earthquakes, Jahn has joined the right team to learn those answers.
Few clubs in Major League Soccer invest more time analyzing player movement through wearable technology.
