When striker Kei Kamara left Crew SC last week, not many teammates had much to say about what led to him being traded away one season after he tied for the most goals in Major League Soccer. But that wasn’t the case with Kamara’s new team, the New England Revolution.
“I want to thank Columbus,” midfielder Lee Nguyen told The Boston Globe. “He’s so smart, so athletic. He wins everything. You’re going to have to watch him. He adds another dimension to our attack. Now we’re lethal on crosses and we can play to the middle.”
The Revolution positioned Kamara as the lone striker, just as the Crew did, on Saturday in a 2-0 win over the Chicago Fire.
