It has been almost a month since it was made public that star Crew SC forward Kei Kamara was angling for a new contract. And his pursuit continues.
Kamara is representing himself without an agent. He and coach Gregg Berhalter, wearing his general manager’s hat as sporting director, have been meeting to discuss the issue roughly once a week since training camp began.
At some point, those meetings will stop, and Kamara could have a decision to make that might have a massive impact on the Crew and its pursuit of the MLS Cup it came so close to winning last season.
