Soccer | Crew: Offseason will bring changes to roster

Two days after falling 2-1 to the Portland Timbers in the MLS Cup, a feeling of disappointment still hadn’t left for many Crew SC players.

Midfielder Justin Meram said he hasn’t responded to text messages or posted much on social media in the past couple of days, still feeling “sick” from the loss.

Defender and team captain Michael Parkhurst, who has lost all four of the MLS Cup matches in which he has played during his Major League Soccer career, said he hasn’t forgotten any of his Cup losses, Sunday’s included.

“It’s been 10 years since I lost my first MLS Cup and I still think about it, so I don’t think it’s anything that goes away forever,” Parkhurst said.
